I am happy to announce a new AMOS version that has been just deployed! The new version brings improvements contributed by Pau Ferrer Ocaña from the Moodle HQ.

  • There is no longer need to specify the version / branch. By default, AMOS will now use the latest available version for each selected component - which is what most users already did anyway as the changes are automatically back-propagated to other branches. If for some reason, you still need to select a particular version (such as when comparing how the same string has been translated on two different branches), you can still find the old version selector by pressing the "More options" button.
  • When the versions selector is re-enabled (by unchecking the "Latest available version" option), the currently supported Moodle versions are highlighted in green.
  • It is not possible to easily filter out all the strings used by the Moodle Mobile App. The app uses selected strings from various components. There is now a new button "Moodle App" that will select all the needed components, and will automatically enable the "only strings used in the Moodle App" filter. As a result, the strings used in the mobile app can be filtered easily.
  • Strings used in the Moodle Mobile App are now marked with a tiny mobile icon.
