Hi David,

I wonder if there is a system (forum topic) for translators to point at possible typos in the source Moodle english strings.

In 2.4 dev, I fear there may be a problem with the new string:

"DEV [selectanoptions,core]

Select an options"
 
I guess it should be either "Select an option" or "Select options"
 
But my english grammar is not as good as a native speaker.

Thanks German for spotting and reporting this! I just created MDL-35100 so this should get fixed asap by our hard working STABLE team. The string should read "Select an option".

Hi David,

Could you please check with the native speakers if this new string for the 2.3 branch has a correct spelling?

2.3 [filenothandled,qformat_blackboard_six]     
This archive contains reference to a file material {$a} wich is not

currently handled by import

 

...because I think "wich" should be "which", but I am not sure.

Hi David,

In the new English strings available for translation I saw another suspected typo:

2.3 [messagehastobeapproved,block_jmail]

Your message will not be delivery to the destinataries until a moderator has approved it
 
I think it should be "... will not be delivered..."
 
Would you be so kind as to check with the native english speakers?

Sorry, block_jmail is a non-standard plugin not maintained by Moodle HQ, can't do much about it.

  • For contributed plugins, please contact the maintainer or report a bug for them as described at the plugin's page in the Plugin Directory at moodle.org/plugins
  • For standard plugins, please report typos directly into the tracker instead of this forum (like I did for example)
