German translation is done by a great team.

Ralf Krause made most of the translation of new strings over the last months. Petra Henkert, Julian Jirmann made lots of work. Dag Klimas last night translated the new workshop module. Ralf Krause discussed several translation with me via skype.

Actual there are only 150 strings missing and that will be done this week.

Afterwards we will optimize and add new strings that come from developers.

Its great to see how the number of strings shrinks from day to day.

Wow Ralph, what an achiefment.

I can't believe how many new strings there are in 2.0. Nice to finish the translation before the release Stoer

Hi,

its a nice feeling to finish the translation as far as it is possible now. Its very similar like finishing a huge jigsaw if you add the last pieces. (This was our first 15.000 pieces jigsaw. And it was really a great experience in teamwork.)

We are sure that developers will create a lot of new strings and we are happpy to translate them. We know from the last years that translating never finshes. All the time you can optimize translations based on own experience and comments made by community.

Its great to work with an active and supportive team. Actually we have two teams for German translation. One teams concentrates on string translation. The other team makes the docs translation. The translation is coordinated via a hidden forum in the German community. From time to time during Moots translators meet and discuss.

Thanks to all the guys who are involved. Special thanks to Ralf Krause who made most of the German translation for 2.0 very continously and very accurately.
