Hi,

I was translating  portal:addons.strings.cost | local_moodlecloudsignup

which has the following English string:

%price% %currency%

And I wonder what the meaning/purpose of the %_% enclosing characters is, and whether or not I could/should translate the words 'price' and 'currency'.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Let me suggest to ask directly via a comment at the page https://moodle.org/plugins/local_moodlecloudsignup

Thanks David,

Mathieu Petit-Clair kindly explained the issue (they are placeholders, not translatable)  and I just updated Moodle Docs at https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Translation_FAQ#Placeholders_enclosed_within_.25_characters_.28.25example.25.29_must_not_be_translated .
