Hi again!

This is just a reminder for official language pack maintainers that there is the Merge tool available at the AMOS Stage page for you. You can use this tool to find strings that are currently translated at one branch but the translation has not been propagated to an other one.

This is the procedure that works pretty well for me as I am currently reviewing the Czech language pack before the upcoming 2.3 release:

  • Use the merge tool to merge translations between 2.0 and 2.1 first. If some missing strings are found and merged, commit them to 2.1. Then again between 2.1 and 2.2, then again between 2.2 and 2.3. This way, strings get propagated from older versions to the new ones.
  • After that, proceed the translation backporting: merge 2.3 into 2.2, then 2.2 into 2.1 and then 2.1 into 2.0.

Thanks for your great work on maintaining your Moodle language packs!
